Kona was just diagnosed on Memorial Weekend 2010, and then had surgery to remove her cancerous right rear leg on Friday, June 4th, 2010.
We also have two other pups: both special needs (from birth) homogenous albinos, deaf and blind in one eye (opposite eyes) then dumped as puppies in the mts of Wa state…both survived quite a long time on their own. Bella is now 12 1/2+ and Cotton 8 1/2yrs with rescued as a kitten, tossed out of a car @ 60mph...Holly, now 16 +yrs. Bella is now completely blind for more than a year.

Kona is quite the manipulator 🙂
She’s smart, knows how to work it and if that doesn’t work, she knows to cause diversions…seriously….she’ll start barking to get her sister or brother to join in and to go look (wink wink) at what she’s barking at, while they do that, she runs and steals whatever toy they set down……..ahhhhh, children 🙂
